Ventura Radio Club founded in 1909.

What is very old is new again, as new as the 21st Century. Back in the founding days of the first Ventura Radio Club, everyone in Ventura County with an interest in wireless communications was considered a club member. So too today, everyone residing in Ventura County with an interest in wireless telecommunications, electronic gadgetry and amateur radio is a de-facto member of the Ventura Radio Club, Inc.

Bulletins and special reports on all facets of wireless technology
"Members only" email list servers (reflectors) and a vast exclusive database of information on all wireless technology disciplines and the history -- and humor -- as relevant
Registered members may apply to a participating provider for ISP (Internet Dial-up Service) for under $5 per month.(DSL service is available in limited Ventura County areas.)
Free Internet Dial-up Service for registered member students in grades K through 12
Free subscriptions to technical, and wireless related magazines
Free email forwarding service available

Yes, it's true. Registered membership has its privileges.

You will have the opportunity to help others by participation in public service functions or training classes for persons seeking continuing instruction in technical knowledge. You are free to volunteer or not. You may participate to any level you wish or not at all. We understand that some are restricted by disabilities and while wishing to be a part of history, can't always pull the wagon.

There are no meetings to attend, but it doesn't mean a get-together can't be planned from time to time.

Opportunity to Serve

There are positions on the Board for those who wish to serve and to guide the public service activities. The remuneration is zero; however, the rewards in satisfaction and pride in a job well done always compensate for the lack of any monetary payment. As we are an organization funded by donations and grants from members and the public, we must be ever vigilant that our funds are always spent only for a public benefit purpose.

The board of directors may meet on line, and at such times, the members are permitted to listen in and comment as guests. Some call this the meeting of the "pajamas board."
